Do you know what?

do you know what

“Do you” usually reduces to /ʤə/, or at least /dəjə/. The key should be high at the end, as you are trying to engage the interest, or attract the attention of your listener.

The phrase really just means “I want to say something”, or “I have a comment to make”. It’s informal.
