Hi there!

Hi there image

The stress is on the first word, “Hi”. It’s important you speak with a high key – don’t let your voice drop too low, as this will sound less friendly. Try it and see! The first sound of “there” is a tricky one for lots of students. Make sure your tongue is touching your teeth, but don’t stick it out too far!

This is an informal greeting you can use in most situations, meaning “hello”.

This is a sample. Daily posts will begin on 13th September.
